Demos And Downloads.

The download files on this site are C64 disc images (D64) in ZIP archives. You can either download / purchase a C64 emulator, I recommend C64S by Miha Peternel, or transfer the D64 files to a 1541 diskette, which will be the only way to see the demos bug-free (this transfer is also possible with the full version of C64S).

Seattle Lab provides you with the C64S full version as well as with the demo version, you can even purchase a connection cable between your printer port and the 1541 disk drive there.
An even better, new C64 emulator, on which you also can run Mega Blast I, Air Dance IV and Awakening (which are trackmos) and which is also able to display FLI and FLP effects error-free, is CCS64 by Per Håkan Sundell (PHS/CCS). It's shareware and you can download it here.

To run Awakening on CCS64, you have to do the following: Start CCS64. Make sure that the monitor module is switched OFF. Then load Awakening using the F9 "Load and Run" function - the demo will crash. Then do a soft(!) reset using the F9 "Reset (Soft)" function. Then do NOT load the directory via 'LOAD "$",8', but directly load Awakening via 'LOAD "?AWAKENING?DEMO*",8,1'. Awakening will load and auto-start correctly.
Tu run Softpizza on CCS64, you have to load all parts separately since the Softpizza IRQ loader won't work with CCS64.

All other demos should load and run correctly, but don't forget that we sometimes used the RUN/STOP (on CCS64: ESCAPE) key to skip the parts!

If you, out of what reason however, are not able to download the ZIP files from here, then try these FTP archives in

Austria or

Finland (but they do carry only some of the files there).

A pre-version of AIR DANCE. Shown for the first time on a local spreader party in Innsbruck, now published for the first time. The first version of our blasting realtime charset unpacking routine which was based on the principle of MPEG, before anyone ever heard of MPEG); so in a way, Mr Watson has invented MPEG.

Consists of AIR DANCE I in an improved version as well as new parts, one of the first fullscreen-DYCPs, two 'anti war' parts with lots of atmosphere and feeling. Third place of the demo competition on the Lazer Party in St Pölten, Austria, 1988.

A 'one-session mega demo' which was coded during some chaotic days on a meeting in a smalltown in Eastern Austria; good feeling, many scrollers, funny dialogue part containing a fictive talk interaction between the TAT crew and a lamer, and more. Light source animations, IRQ loading system.

SOFTPIZZA

The first big TAT mega demo. Spectacular $D011-graphic-turning-part (DYPP), the second one of its kind, 'arousing' erotics part, atmospheric end part with amazing raster effects, and more. Winner of the Lazer Party 1990 demo competition.

VISITATION

Our first two-side mega demo. Atmospheric digi muzax in the introduction part, a diagonal raster bar, lots of nice fx and a commercial part for the upcoming release of AIR DANCE II (caution: this is not the separately released precommercial). Winner of the demo competition on Titan's Party in Stuttgart/Germany, 1990.

AIR DANCE II

IRQ-loading system (we were one of the first crews to regularly use IRQ loading systems in all demos). The best charset vector animations ever, self-sequenced 2-bit and 4-bit digi muzax, lots of sideborder fx. The first ever published SEG graphic (SEG=Sprite enhanced Graphics, more colors per 8x8 matrix than FLI), the fastest IRQ loading system up to this time. Winner of the demo competition on the Fresh Party in Luzern/Switzerland, 1990. For a few months high ranked in all major mags, voted to "Demo Of The Year 1990" by an Australian mag.

Not much styling, but lots of technical stuff. A vector charset animation that fills the whole memory, 4-bit digi muzax with raster splits and sprites, some other quite blasting routines.

Again a big mega demo. Great digi music introduction part, moire-style IRQ loading graphics show with lots of graphics, many details, the last part to be continued with the first part of the next demo (Mega Blast II). Released on the TAT Party in Innsbruck/Austria, 1991, therefore no taking part in the competition.

AIR DANCE IV

Great, long introduction part (from there on, others started to make introduction parts like ours as well), animated vector show through a whole discside, Digi-FLI, the legendary "Chicken McDigi's" part which was pictured in several computer magazines (64'er, Amiga), another SEG graphic. For many months on the top of many mags' charts ("Sex'n Crime", "Immortal Flash", "Mamba", ...)

AWAKENING

It's a trackmo, made like a movie. Introduction in AFLI, two synchronized and going-through sound scores (through the whole demo), graphics in 640x200 and 320x400 SuperHiRes, 2 minutes long Amiga rendered and converted full-screen "ZoomVision" real-time IRQ-loaded vector movie with light sources. Third place in the 64'er magazine demo competition.

Precommercials

Special Disc #1
On this disc you can find the 'pre-version' of Air Dance, 'Basic Vectors', as well as an unpublished part of Air Dance IV, further a small fun demo called 'Dieter' and the very first demo Mr Watson and I wrote together, 'The System', which is partially writen in BASIC (!).
